PJ4A - Amateur Radio Contesting from Bonaire

View of PJ4A Inside PJ4A

I've traveled to the island of Bonaire since 2004 to operate either the ARRL DX CW Contest or the CQWW DX CW Contest. Our group started out using the callsign PJ4R but later switched to PJ4A. Beginning in 2006 K4BAI and I started making a yearly trip to Bonaire for the CQWW DX CW Contest. We've also used the call PJ4Z in the CQ WPX Contest. Some well known contesters who have joined us over the years on our trips to the "Radio House" include W9RE, N5OT, N4GG, W4OC, K5OT, KZ5D, NO2R, K9YC, N3ZZ, K1XM, W1FJ, NG7A, W1UE, K2SX, W2LK, W8FN, W4EF, K9NW, WW4LL, AD4ES, K9ES and PJ4LS.

We operate from the station that's owned by Noah, K2NG. If you've ever worked PJ4G or PJ4X those operations took place at his contest station on Bonaire. There have also been other various people that have operated from the contest station over the years. The station is available for rental. (Although both ARRL DX and CQWW contests are usually taken every year by the station's club members but you could inquire to see if you could join the team.) If you might be interested in renting the station click here.

All PJ4A contest QSO's are loaded to the ARRL Logbook of the World.
