PJ4A - Contesting from Bonaire

View of PJ4A Inside PJ4A

I've traveled to the island of Bonaire since 2004 (and with K4BAI since 2006) to operate either the ARRL DX CW Contest or the CQWW DX CW Contest. We started out using the callsign PJ4R but later switched to PJ4A. We've also used the call PJ4Z in the CQ WPX Contest. Some well known contesters who have joined us over the years on our trips to the "Radio House" include W9RE, N5OT, N4GG , K1TO, W4OC, N4TO, K5OT, KZ5D, NO2R, K9YC, N3ZZ, K1XM, W1FJ, NG7A, W1UE, K2SX, W2LK, W8FN, W4EF, K9NW, N4OO, W4DXX and WW4LL. We've also have had a local contester Hans, PJ4LS join us for the CQWW DX CW Contest that both K4BAI, our guests and myself have operated since 2007.

We operate from the station that's owned by Noah, K2NG. If you've ever worked PJ4G or PJ4X those operations took place at the PJ4G station. There have also been other various people that have operated from there over the years. PJ4A operated by RD3A still holds the SOHP AB record from the station. The station is avaiable for rental. (Although both ARRL DX and CQWW contests are taken every year by the station's club members.) If you might be interested in renting the station click here.

All PJ4A contest QSO's are loaded to the ARRL Logbook of the World.
